Evacuations Ordered As Snake Fire Continues To Grow

MEDICINE BOW NATIONAL FOREST, Wyo. (CBS4)- The Snake Fire has forced some evacuations as it continues to grow. The wildfire started burning near the Colorado-Wyoming state line on Saturday.

The wildfire has burned about 2,300 acres near the Battle Creek Campground in the Medicine Bow National Forest, about two miles north of the state line.

Hunters have been evacuated and some ranch buildings have been threatened.

Fire crews blame the extreme fire growth on low humidity levels and strong wind gusts. It's not clear how the fire started.
