The phasing out process will take place over the next few weeks.

The new shuttles are red and have air conditioning, an upgrade over the current buses. RTD has ordered 36 of the new shuttles.

“We will charge them at night and we will run them all day,” said RTD spokeswoman Tina Jaquez. “They also have air conditioning, which is a change from our existing fleet.”
