Bear Cubs Spotted Near Cheesman Reservoir

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A pair of bear cubs, with mama not far behind, were spotted on the rocks near Cheesman Reservoir.

Denver Water, who manages the reservoir, tweeted about it today:

Cheesman Reservoir is located southwest of Denver near the town of Deckers.

The reservoir has a capacity for 79,064 acre feet of water, or 25,763,083,464 gallons.

The dam, according to Denver Water's website, was the world's tallest at 221 feet above the streambed when it was completed in 1905.

It is designated a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark.
