Crews Break Gas Line While Clearing Mudslide
SAN MIGUEL COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Crews clearing mudslides that measured one to two feet thick on Highway 145 in San Miguel County, broke a gas line on Tuesday. That forced some residents and businesses to be evacuated.
Utility crews repaired the leak within an hour and traffic was once again allowed through.
Mudslide debris removal will continue into next week. Drivers should expect lane reductions between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and delays in the area.
The mudslides happened on Sunday and crews from CDOT assisted with the cleanup efforts.
