DENVER (CBS4)– Gov. John Hickenlooper believes Colorado will still play a major role in the election, regardless of how the polls place the candidates for president.

He talked about how it’s still early in the campaign but that there’s not any time to waste.

“I think right now they’re going to move resources to other states but trust me, they still recognize Colorado as a battleground state. If things change as the campaign evolves, I would expect to see them back up in the air in Colorado in the future,” said Hickenlooper.
