Clinton, Pence Overlap In Colorado Visits Hoping To Gain Voters
DENVER (CBS4) - Both the Republicans and the Democrats are hoping to build support in Colorado on Wednesday.
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence will spend time laying out their plans to voters across the Front Range.
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence will host his town hall event at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mile High Station, a special events center at Zuni Street and Old West Colfax Avenue. He's then set to make another campaign stop at the Antlers Hotel in Colorado Springs at 6 p.m. Donald Trump was in Colorado just last Friday.
Clinton's bus tour with vice president nominee Tim Kaine will stop at Adams City High School in Commerce City Wednesday afternoon. Her event is open to the public but is completely full. She previously stopped in Nebraska where billionaire Warren Buffet announced his support.
CBS4 Republican analyst Dick Wadhams said Clinton has a strategy when it comes to campaigning in Colorado.
"She's going to the middle of a county where those voters will determine if she wins that county or not," said Wadhams. "It clearly shows where she's worried, not only in Colorado and Adams County, but across the nation."
Clinton's tour is primarily focused on job creation and the economy. According to a news release, she will discuss her plan to create an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top, including passing the largest job creation since WWII.
She and Kaine are scheduled to address the crowd at 3:15 p.m.
