Work Starts On New 2-Lane Bikeway In Denver

DENVER (CBS4) - Work was scheduled to begin Monday on Denver's first two-way protected bike lane.

The change to the roadway will take place on South Broadway between West Bayaud Avenue and East Virginia Avenue.

The lane will have a parking lane to separate cyclists from traffic.

The bikeway is scheduled to open on Aug. 15 and the test phase for the project will last for approximately a year.
