63 Rescued Chihuahuas Head To Shelters For Adoption
LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Dozens of dogs rescued from a home in Larimer County are heading to shelters across the Front Range to find forever homes.
The Larimer Humane Society took in 63 chihuahuas with its animal protection and control team after a local breeder couldn't keep up with so many dogs.
Staff and volunteers have vaccinated and evaluated each dog to be sure it can be transferred to another shelter.
Approximately 50 dogs will be transferred from Larimer Human Society to partner agencies, including the Longmont Humane Society, Dumb Friends League, Denver Animal Shelter, Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, and Human Society of Boulder Valley.
