MESA COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Two bodies were found Sunday morning in the Colorado River in Mesa County.

The Grand Junction Fire Department recovered the body of a man at 10:30 a.m. Then around noon a second body of a male was found about two miles away.

Authorities say the river is not running any higher than normal.

The coroner’s office is looking into how the two people died and if the deaths were related.

They are the second and third bodies found in the Colorado River in less than two weeks.
