Study: Millennials Opt For Peer-To-Peer Apps Over Credit Cards

DENVER (CBS4) - More and more young people are saying "no" to credit cards.

A new report finds more than 60 percent of millennials don't own a credit card. That generation is instead embracing new technology to transfer money.

They say peer-to-peer payment apps like Venmo are the quickest way to settle up.

"It's so easy. I mean I just click on my app and click an amount and chose a recipient and send it -- boom it's there," Venmo user Charlie Smith said.

The study also shows millennials get more interested in credit cards as they get older.
