Denver firefighters say in all they pulled four people from high water on the trail.

The thunderstorm rolled out of the foothills and strengthened right over central Denver. More than an inch of rain fell in many west metro suburbs and road flooding was reported in Arvada and Westminster.

There was also a deluge in the dugout at Coors Field causing the game against the Toronto Blue Jays to be delayed for more than two hours so crews could mop up the field.

The Denver Police Department shot video of water about a foot deep on southbound Interstate 25.

Large hail also moved through the area. Parts of Arvada were pelted with enough to completely cover Allen Klosowski's front yard, not sparing a single flower in his garden.

The storm eventually weakened as it traveled southeast through the city, but not before bringing over half of Denver's average monthly rainfall.
