Suspect Identified In Wild Shootout In Edgewater
EDGEWATER, Colo. (CBS4) - The suspect has been identified in a crash and officer-involved shooting in Edgewater.
David Little, 40, of Golden, was wanted in Golden on charges of sexual assault on a child.
On Tuesday police tracked him down to 22nd Avenue and Jay Street.
Officers from Golden crashed into Little's car in an attempt to stop him. That's when the suspect opened fire but didn't injure anyone.
The officers then shot him several times and he was taken to the hospital. There's no word on his condition.
The three Golden officers who fired shots are on paid leave, which is standard procedure in officer-involved shootings.
