Colorado-Produced Documentary About PTSD Viewed On Capitol Hill
DENVER (CBS4) - A new locally-produced documentary that looks at how suicide affects veterans from every battle since World War II was shown on Capitol Hill.
Steffan Tubbs, co-host of Colorado's Morning News on KOA NewsRadio, directed the film titled "ACRONYM: The cross-generational battle with PTSD."
The film was shown to the House Committee on Veterans Affairs on Wednesday.
The statistics are staggering: 22 veterans commit suicide every day and 75 attempt suicide. Many suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
The film takes a look at veterans from every war since WWII and the common bond they share of PTSD.
There is a screening of the film on Sunday in Castle Rock at the Plum Creek Golf Club. Attendees are asked to register for the event in advance.
