EDGEWATER, Colo. (CBS4) – SWAT crews surrounded an apartment in Edgewater on Tuesday afternoon, believed to be where a bank robbery suspect had barricaded himself inside. Unfortunately, the man was not there.

The suspect robbed the Bellco Credit Union at 1931 Sheridan Boulevard in Edgewater on Tuesday morning. He gave the teller a note that indicated he had a bomb. Police believe they located the suspect vehicle in the 2800 block of Kendall Street. That vehicle was towed away.
The man was described as a Hispanic male in his mid to late 20s, 5-foot-10 with a thin build and short black hair. He remained at large on Tuesday evening.
