GEORGETOWN, Colo. (CBS4) – The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office says they have found the body of a 30-year-old man in Georgetown Lake.

The man ended up in the water after his kayak capsized around 7 p.m. Saturday. A Georgetown police officer was unable to reach the man who was too far from shore for a safe rescue.

Crews continued to look for the man overnight until his body was found around 2 a.m. Sunday. Authorities say he was not wearing any safety equipment.
