Arapahoe Basin Enjoys Last Day, Closing Out Colorado's Ski Season
SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Arapahoe Basin has officially ended its season, the longest ski and ride season in the state they say.
The ski area celebrated the final day of 224 total ski days on Sunday. Over 2000 people showed up for one last day of lift-served skiing and pond skimming fun on Lake Reveal.
A-Basin received approximately 300 inches of snow during the 2015-2016 season. That coupled with the cool spring temperatures allowed the ski area to remain open into mid-June.
They will open for summer operations on July 1.
A-Basin typically opens for the season in mid to late October, so there's only a few months until the next season begins.
