CANON CITY, Colo. (CBS4) – Deputies are looking for a suspect on the run after a rafting accident in Canon City.
Styron Smith, 31, was on board with four other people when the raft flipped on the Arkansas River on Saturday. Four of the rafters were rescued, but Smith was still missing. While looking for him deputies realized there was a nationwide warrant for Smith for breaking parole.
Smith’s parents said later they found his rafting clothes at their home in Canon City. It’s believed he got out of the water on his own and is now on the run.
