Police say the area is a particularly dangerous part of the highway and the crash happened when the roadway was at its busiest — at the beginning of the evening commute.
Dark skid marks on the road marked where the violent crash killed a driver and sent another person to the hospital. The chaotic scene was littered with a semi-truck crashed in the median and three cars mangled on the highway, including a black Toyota 4Runner that had its driver’s side completely destroyed.
