Train Conductor Who Died On Tracks Met Husband On Railroad

CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) — The conductor of a Colorado scenic train who was killed last week after falling on the tracks ended up moving to the state after meeting her future husband on the train on a family vacation.

Twenty-eight-year-old Leslie Padilla Cacy was killed Saturday as the Royal Gorge Route Railroad train was backing up to return to the station after traveling into the gorge.

Cacy was originally from Corpus Christi, Texas. According to her obituary, she met Devon Cacy in 2008 when he was working as a waiter on the train. The two married in October after a holding their rehearsal dinner on the train.

A funeral service is planned Monday in Canon City, Colorado.

Authorities are still investigating how Cacy fell and are looking for people who were taking video on the train.
