Police Need Help Finding Jewelry Store Thieves

DENVER (CBS4) – Police are searching for two men who stole from a jewelry store at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center and surveillance cameras recorded the thieves in action.

A man walked into Cherry Creek's Hyde Park jewelry store and asked an attendant to show him high-priced watches so valuable the clerk had to put on a protective glove. After a series of different watches and going from counter to counter the thief found one he liked and walked to the far end of a counter and sprinted for the door when the attendant wasn't watching.

The store wouldn't say how much the stolen watch was worth but it was enough for Denver police to issue a full crime alert.

The man who stole the watch reportedly has a 9/11 tattoo over his left eye brow. The second suspect was a lookout. They escaped in this 2016 Chevy Suburban.
