Fatal Light Rail-Pedestrian Collision Affects Morning Commute
DENVER (CBS4) - One person is dead in Denver after a light rail train struck and killed that person.
Three RTD light rail lines were affected by the overnight incident. The E, F and H lines were all not running parts of their routes for several hours and buses were set up to shuttle riders to their destinations.
Service was back up at 8 a.m. but RTD said to still expect delays.
The collision happened near the Louisiana & Pearl Station, and CBS4 captured images of investigators with flashlights studying evidence near the collision. So far it's not clear why the person came close to the train.
