Douglas County Sets Up Safe Havens For Online Purchase Exchanges

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4) - The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has just set up safe places for online shoppers to exchange items they buy from one another.

There won't be any department staff present to supervise the transactions, but the two parking lots that have been designated Internet Purchase Exchange Locations are under video surveillance.

The parking spaces set up in the lots are located at the Douglas County Justice Center at 4000 Justice Way in Castle Rock and the Highlands Ranch substation at 9250 Zotos Drive.

The department described the action as a "preventative measure to ensure there's a safe place to allow buyers and sellers to conduct their business."
