Body Of Man Discovered On Bank Of Animas River
DURANGO, Colo. (CBS4)- The body of a man was found along the banks of the Animas River behind a home in Durango on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased 40-year-old man was found inside a sleeping bag in some brush behind a home on West Park Avenue, downstream of the Main Avenue bridge.
The deputy coroner said the autopsy results will help determine if his death is suspicious but said there were no obvious signs of trauma.
Police said the male has been identified as Kansas native Randy Shaw. They did not provide details about when Shaw might have died but said he may have been in the brush for a while.
