Kebler Pass Closed Due To Landslide, Road Damage

GUNNISON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Road damage has forced Kebler Pass to remain closed until further notice, according to the Gunnison Regional 911 Center.

A slide caused significant damage to the road near Lost Lake. Gunnison County will bring in engineers to fully assess the damage and decide how to best repair the roadway.

Kebler Pass is a seasonal road that closes for the winter, but typically reopens for summer in May. Authorities said if it cannot be opened for traffic by Memorial Day weekend, they will then open it on the east side going up to Lost Lake.
