Man Accused In State Trooper's Death Reaches Plea

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A plea deal has been reached in the case of the man accused of hitting and killing a Colorado State Trooper.

Eric Henderson, a 52-year-old retired colonel with the U.S. Army, will not be immediately sentenced.

A hearing will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to announce the details of the plea.

He is accused in a hit-and-run that killed Trooper Jaimie Jursevics. She was on the scene of a crash on Interstate 25 south of Castle Rock in November when Henderson, allegedly intoxicated, struck her and drove away.
