Corvette Crash Update: Driver Cited

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - Colorado state troopers are investigating a car crash that happened in Golden Saturday afternoon.

According to Alisha Danko with the Colorado State Patrol, calls began coming in around 2:30 p.m. about a maroon 2007 Corvette driving erratically on eastbound C-470 near Morrison Road.

Witnesses said the Corvette sideswiped a Ford Fiesta, causing minor damage. It then exited at Ken Caryl and failed to negotiate a right-hand turn at the bottom of the ramp to westbound Ken Caryl. It then struck an embankment and rolled an unknown number of times.

The driver of the Corvette, Mark E. Clemons, 51, was transported to hospital with unknown injuries.

Clemens wound up being ticketed for reckless driving.
