Lakewood High Students 'Brave The Shave' For Childhood Cancer
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- Students at Lakewood High School "braved the shave" on Friday to raise money for childhood cancer research.
Students, parents and teachers volunteered to go under the razor to raise awareness about childhood cancer.
As of Friday afternoon, the group had raised close to $7,000.
"I did it last year and I liked it and knowing it's for a good cause makes it even better," said one participant.
"I had a good friend who had twins, one had leukemia, came through it and has had a happy, successful life," said another participant.
The tradition started three years ago at Lakewood High School and in that time they've raised more than $30,000 for St. Baldrick's Foundation.
