City Extends Deadline For Homeless To Pick Up Belongings

DENVER (CBS4)- The city has extended the deadline for the homeless to pick up their belongings gathered during a big cleanup in the Ballpark neighborhood last month.

All of the personal items remain in more than 150 bins in a building at 1221 Glenarm Place. People have until April 29 to claim their property.

The city plans to throw out any unclaimed items after that date. The hours for pickup are Monday through Friday between noon and 2 p.m.

The original date was set for 30 days past the date the items were removed from the encampment, March 8, near Lawrence Street and Park Avenue West.
