Captured On Video: Neighbor Tries To Stop 'Porch Pirate'
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A surveillance camera captured video of a good neighbor trying to stop a so-called "porch pirate" in Colorado Springs.
A woman can be seen in the video stealing two boxes off a front porch of a home. That's when a neighbor who happened to be watching tried to take matters into her own hands.
"When I saw her grab the boxes I started running … I just wanted to try to get them to stop, so I approached the car, went up to the driver's side and just was pounding on the window saying, 'What are you doing?"" neighbor Carol Rinesmith said.
The thief got away with costumes for a school play.
Colorado Springs police are still looking for the suspect.
