Plan To Protect Colorado Wildlife Approved
DENVER (AP) — A comprehensive plan to protect wildlife in Colorado has been approved by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife Director Bob Broscheid says the plan was put together with help from conservation groups, federal, state and municipal agencies and private landowners.
The plan sets priorities for at-risk wildlife and habitats.
Wildlife covered by the plan includes the Gunnison sage-grouse, black-footed ferrets, Colorado river cutthroat trout and many others.
