Latest Snow Light For Most, But Some Heavy Pockets Leave Tough Travel Behind

By Chris Spears

DENVER (CBS4) - A quick moving weather system brought snow overnight to both the mountains and the Front Range of Colorado and more snow is expected into the afternoon and early evening for some areas.

Watch the latest forecast from Colorado's Weather Center:

While most snow totals in the Denver metro were light there have been some heavier pockets of snow which created tough driving conditions.

The Colorado State Patrol reported several accidents early Saturday morning in Douglas County, some of which involved semi trucks.

A chain law was posted for all semis traveling between Monument and Denver due to the slick roads but was dropped by mid-morning.
