Police Find Car Wanted In Hit-And-Run, Driver Still Missing

DENVER (CBS4)- Police have located the vehicle wanted in connection with a hit-and-run on Tuesday but the driver remains missing.

The 66-year-old woman was crossing Park Avenue West at Tremont Street at approximately 8:30 p.m. Tuesday when she was hit. She suffered injuries to her head and body and was in critical condition at Denver Health Medical Center.

Police believe the woman is homeless because they haven't been able to find any family locally.

Police in Denver issued a Medina Alert after the hit-and-run.

It's only the second time this year there has been a hit-and-run incident that has risen to the level of being a Medina Alert because of the severity of the woman's injuries.
