Great Weather For The Broncos Parade

By Justin McHeffey

Considering the broad range of weather that Denver can get on February 9, it's safe to say the Broncos Super Bowl parade is timed very well. Our temperatures will be 10–15 degrees above average with hardly a cloud in the sky.

For the pre-parade festivities at 11 a.m., expect 52 degrees under sunny skies. The parade begins at noon and the warm weather stays with us all the way through the Broncos rally. We'll top out near 60 degrees by the afternoon and a few high clouds may move in by then.

Looking at the history books, the coldest Feb. 9 we've ever had in Denver was back in 2001. That day we had a low of -15 in the city. The average high is 45 degrees, but major temperature swings happen all the time during this part of winter. Can you imagine a snowstorm with an estimated 1 million people downtown for the parade?

Enjoy the unseasonably warm temps on Tuesday! We'll have live coverage on CBS4 from multiple locations along the parade route. See you there!
