Colorado, North Carolina Secretaries Of State Make Food Drive Wager
DENVER (CBS4)- The secretary of state for Colorado has made a friendly wager with the secretary of state for North Carolina over Super Bowl 50 that benefits those less fortunate.
Both offices are loading up on groceries, getting ready to make a big donation to food banks after the big game.
If the Denver Broncos win, donations in both states will be credited to the team. The same conditions exist if the Carolina Panthers win.
"I'm excited that there will be a Denver Broncos donation to the Food Bank of the Rockies but also to the Food Bank of Central-Eastern North Carolina," said Colorado Secretary of State Wayne Williams.
Either way, hungry families in both Colorado and North Carolina benefit.
