Colorado Woman Found Dead In Vienna

VIENNA (CBS4)- A Colorado woman was found dead in her Vienna apartment after she did not show up for her job as an au pair.

The U.S. Embassy identified the young woman in a phone call with CBS News as Lauren Mann, 25, from Paonia, a small town in Delta County in western Colorado.

Mann graduated from the University of Colorado in 2012.

Police said Mann was found found half-naked on a mattress in the bedroom after police and firefighters forced open the door on Tuesday.

Her employer called police after she did not show up for work on Monday.

Mann's mother and sister posted a statement on Facebook that they are heartbroken and are asking for everyone's thoughts and prayers.

An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
