Man Sentenced For Repeated Attacks On Woman

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4)- A man was sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday for repeatedly sexually assaulting a woman for a 30-hour time frame.

Lawrence White will spend the rest of his life behind bars for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman he met at the Ralston Lounge in Arvada in September 2014.

The woman and White went back to his house after cocktails and conversation but she lost consciousness and when she woke up, she was lying naked on his bed with a rope around her neck. The rope was attached to White's leg.

Prosecutors say White, 49, tied up his victim and repeatedly sexually assaulted her over 30-hours. After that, White took the young woman to her home in Thornton where she called police.

White was convictetd of kidnapping, sexual assault, and second-degree assault Dec. 18. 2015.

"This is one of the most calculated and vicious attacks that I have ever seen," said District Attorney Pete Weir in a statement, "This man held this innocent young woman prisoner for almost two days and repeatedly raped and assaulted her. He deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison. The Arvada Police Department did an excellent job in this terrifying case."

White had three prior felony convictions including one in California for accessory to murder.
