Boulder Police Search For Rite Aid Robber, 2nd Case In 2 Weeks

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Boulder searched for a man wanted for robbing a Rite Aid Pharmacy. It was the second time in less than two weeks that the pharmacy had been robbed.

About 9 p.m. on Thursday, police were notified of a robbery that had occurred at the Rite Aid Pharmacy located at 3348 28th Street. The suspect held a note indicating that he had a bomb and wanted narcotics. The pharmacist complied with the suspect's request and handed over the pills.

The suspect ran out of the store and got into an older model red SUV with a partial plate possibly starting wiht 541.

The suspect is described as a heavy white male between 25 and 30 years old, 5-foot-10 with dark hair and brown eyes. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a dark winter coat and had a scruffy beard, about three days unshaven.

Investigators are working to determine if the Thursday robbery and another robbery on Dec. 27, 2015 are related. The surveillance photos are from last month's robbery.
