CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (AP) — A state trooper who was nearly killed by a carjacker who led police on long chase in metro Denver is back on the job.
The Colorado State Patrol said Thursday that Trooper Bellamann Hee has returned to duty nearly 21 months after being hit by Ryan Stone in March 2014.
The 75-mile chase was televised live and involved officers from a dozen agencies.
Stone was sentenced to 160 years in prison for 18 charges, including attempted manslaughter.
