Air Force Downs Western State Colorado 86-66

COLORDAO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Hayden Graham scored 19 points with a career-high five 3-pointers and Air Force beat Division II Western State Colorado University 86-66 on Tuesday night.

Trevor Lyons scored 14 points on 4-of-4 shooting and Zach Moer added 12 with three blocked shots for the Falcons (9-4), who outshot the Mountaineers 54 percent to 38 percent and made 23 of 28 free throws (82 percent).

Air Force broke the game open early in the first half with an 18-0 run in which Graham made two 3-pointers and led 45-27 at halftime.

The Falcons outscored the Mountaineers 42-34 in the paint and 10-2 on fast breaks.

Air Force opens Mountain West conference play Jan. 2 against San Jose State.

Pablo Barreiro scored 12 points, C.J. Schutt 11 and Robert Romero 10 for the Mountaineers, who scored 12 second-chance points off of 17 offensive rebounds.
