Woman Steals Custom Truck After Answering Craigslist Ad

ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Arvada are searching for a woman who stole a pickup truck after answering a Craigslist ad.

The victim was selling a Ford F-150 Lightning. Police say a woman who identified herself as "Carla" came to look at the truck. The woman took the keys and drove off when the victim stepped away.

The truck is not currently registered and does not have a Colorado license plate.

Police said the woman showed up in a Subaru STI with a man. The Subaru was reported stolen out of Denver.

The woman is described as being possibly Hispanic or Middle Eastern, approximately 20 to 30 years old. She's approximately 5 feet tall and weighs about 105 pounds. The male suspect is described as being between 20 to 30 years old, approximately 5-foot-9 and about 145 pounds. He has a thin build and is possibly Hispanic or Middle Eastern.

"The stolen Ford F-150 Lightning stands out because of its excellent condition and extensive customization. Every trim piece has been painted to match, and there are lightning details that make this truck unique," police said in a statement.
