Been Drinking? Skip Uber And Call Police Instead

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Those who imbibe a little too much this holiday season can skip Uber or calling a taxi and call the police instead. This season Aurora police officers will give those who have been drinking a free ride home.

Anyone who is in the city limits of Aurora can get a free ride home from police as long as the destination is within 10 miles of the city border.

During the ride officers plan to talk to people about the dangers of drinking and driving. The program continues from 9 p.m. Saturday until 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Riders can call 303.627.3100 to participate.
