With Ward, Bruton Likely Out, Broncos Sign Another Free Agent Safety

DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Broncos have signed another defensive back to shore up a their depleted secondary.

The team announced the signing of Shiloh Keo, 27, on Wednesday morning.

Pro Bowl safety T.J. Ward is not expected to play in Sunday's game against the Raiders, which would be his second straight game missed due to an ankle injury.

Ward's backup, David Bruton, is also expected to miss Sunday's game with a knee injury suffered in Sunday's 17-3 win over San Diego.

Last week the Broncos signed safety Josh Bush and Bush played well during the action he saw against the Chargers, forcing a fumble in the second half.

Bush could be forced into a starting role against the Raiders and Keo could wind up seeing action as his backup.

Keo is in his fourth NFL season. He played for three years with the Houston Texans and played in college at University of Idaho.
