ASPEN, Colo. (CBS4)– An owl was rescued after it was found flying around the fourth floor of the Ritz-Carlton in Aspen on Friday.

The Great Horned Owl got in through the attic and found its way onto the four floor hallway.

A police officer who actually has experience with capturing owls was called in to help.

She was able to grab the bird in a blanket and calm down the animal. The owl was checked out for any injuries and then released back into the wild.
