DIA Returns To Normal Operations After Snowstorm

DENVER (CBS4)- Operations at Denver International Airport have returned to normal after a snowstorm blew in on Monday night.

At one point during the storm 160 flights were cancelled at DIA and delays were averaging about 90 minutes.

After the snow stopped falling, those cancelled flights were reduced to 130 and the delays were report to be about an hour.

At 2 p.m. DIA spokesman Heath Montgomery told CBS4 that operations had returned to normal at the airport.

The airlines are expected to continue deicing procedures Tuesday afternoon and evening. That could delay passengers a little as their time on the plane is increased by about 16 minutes for deicing, depending on the size of the aircraft.
