Court Date Set For Commerce City Police Officer Suspected Of Lying About Getting Shot

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4)- A court date has been set for the Commerce City police officer who is suspected of lying about getting shot. Kevin Lord is on administrative leave and will appear in court Nov. 30.

Police said Officer Kevin Lord made a false report in regards to his being shot by a man during what he claimed was a traffic stop in Commerce City.

Lord was arrested on Friday night for suspicion of attempt to influence a public official, a felony, and false reporting, a misdemeanor.

Investigators believe he made the whole thing up.
