Stolen Car Involved In Deadly Crash On Hwy 285, Robbery Suspects Identified

CHAFFEE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Law enforcement officers are searching for two men they are calling armed and dangerous following a fatal rollover crash early Wednesday morning on Highway 285.

According to Colorado State Patrol sources a woman died in the crash after the vehicle, reported stolen during a robbery in Alamosa, rolled several times. The vehicle ended up in a field along Hwy 285 near mile marker 132 in Chaffee County.

According to law enforcement sources, deputies believe two men who were inside the stolen car took off on foot. Officers are searching for them now. They've been identified as Eustaquio Poinciana Valenzuela, 35, and Angelo Espinoza, 31.

"One suspect was last seen wearing a light colored shirt and jeans and the other suspect was last seen wearing all black; they may possibly be armed," the Chaffee County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

Chaffee County Sheriff deputies along with troopers and police officers from Salida are involved in the search.

State patrol confirms another man inside that vehicle was taken in custody.

The woman who died in the crash has not been identified.
