Home A Total Loss After Fire In Brighton
BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) - A family in Brighton woke up to their house on fire early Sunday morning.
The fire broke out just before 2:30 a.m. at the home located near 140th Way and Umpire Street. Firefighters say there aren't any hydrants in the area so they had to bring in a water shuttle.
"All occupants had evacuated safely from the home. Firefighters began a quick aggressive exterior attack on the fire but within seven minutes the crews reported that the house was fully involved with fire," Brighton Fire Rescue said in a statement.
The fire was under control around 3:45 a.m. A total of 25 firefighters fought the fire.
The home is a total loss.
Fire officials haven't released a cause but said it was accidental.
