DENVER (CBS4) – The FBI is alerting all law enforcement to possible attacks on officers this Halloween. According to CBS News, the FBI sent the bulletin out on Monday.

The alert warns of a possible “Halloween revolt” by an anarchist group that encourages members to dress in costume, cause a disturbance, and then ambush police who come to help.

Deborah Sherman, spokesperson for the FBI office in Denver, said local departments are included.

A statement released by Sherman on Tuesday said, “As part of the continuous dialogue with our law enforcement partners, the FBI routinely shares information about potential threats to belter enable law enforcement to protect the communities they serve.”

The FBI is also urging the public to remain vigilant, and report suspicious activity to law enforcement.
