Serial Shoplifter Caught On Tape Stuffing Wine Bottles Down Pants

SNOWMASS VILLAGE, Colo. (CBS4)- A man has been captured on surveillance video shoving expensive bottles of wine down his pants at a liquor store in Snowmass Village. Police believe he's done this before.

The man, dressed as a construction worker, entered Sundance Liquor in Snowmass Village on multiple occasions and stole approximately $1,800 worth of alcohol.

A second liquor store in Snowmass Village, Daly Bottle Shop, reported a similar theft of $300 with the same suspect. Both thefts occurred within minutes of each other.

A employee of Sundance Liquor discovered via the Internet a similar story of a man dressed like a construction worker who was also a serial shoplifter. Snowmass Village Police reached out to law enforcement in Texas and are working to identify the man.

Police are also working with other law enforcement agencies in the Valley to determine if there are more victims in the case.

The suspect may be driving a black, 4-door Dodge Avenger with Texas license plates BVC-1375.
