Aurora Police Search For Murder Suspect

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Aurora are searching for a murder suspect after a deadly shooting earlier this week.

Police say Lloyd Rickey Henderson, known as "Rickey" was involved in a an altercation at 348 Potomac Way in Aurora. During the incident Corey Clemons was shot and killed as a result.

A warrant has been issued for Henderson for first-degree murder.

About 2:35 a.m. on Sept. 27, officers responded to reports of shots fired at the Canterra at Fitzsimons Apartments at 348 Potomac Way. When they arrived they found Clemons suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He died a short time later at University Hospital.

About an hour and a half later, officers received a 911 call from an adult male who said he had been shot. Officers found the man in the area of East 13th Avenue and East Richthofen Circle. He was rushed to University Hospital and survived.

Police believe Henderson is related to both shootings.

Henderson's whereabouts are unknown but he is believed to be in the Aurora or Denver metro area.

Police say Henderson should be considered armed and dangerous.

Tipsters can also call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867). By calling Crime Stoppers tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
